Doesn't anyone play horseshoes anymore? I had forgotten that we played it all the time when I was younger and especially at family gatherings but I never see anyone play it anymore. I saw at the park yesterday there was an area set up for it and I wonder if kids even know what it's for now!

I set up as a vendor at a craft show some time back where there was quite a large horseshoes tournament going on. Sadly I didn't get to find out whether the participants were a buying crowd because the show was so poorly attended (for the four hours I stuck it out I don't think there was a single time the visitors outnumbered the vendors, and the few visitors weren't buying) I gave up and went home long before the tournament finished.

From what I recall most of the horseshoes players were older folks.

I've never played horse shoes. Sounds like it can be a fun thing to do, though! :)

I haven't seen anyone play horseshoes since middle school. And that more than a hot second ago. . . .

That sounds really familiar! My grandparents used to have the game in their yard (they lived near railroad tracks and had a wide open space) and all the grandkids would play.
