Hi I am Chloe, I am a practicing Catholic (baptized and confirmed) and I was introduced to this site by Mark who has been helping me out with a site that I ran - now co-run with him. (He has truly been a Godsend).

I enjoy talking about religion, faith and philosophy with anyone who is interested in discussing it with me and I am always open to learning from others. I am hoping to find answers to questions here, and hopefully I too, will be able to help others find the answers that they have been seeking.

It is great to be here, thank you for the invite and I look forward to spending time about the place.

I have a question...so this will either show how much of a noob I am with VB these days, or the registration went wonky somewhere...I don't remember filling out the part where it asks for non-required fields, but it already lists me as "conservative" for my political affiliation - how did it figure that?

Or is it just first alphabetically...or?

I'm not sure about the political affiliation profile field (I don't have access to those to see if a default is defined or not). The blank choice should be the default, I would think.

However, we have a robotic user here, called iBot, and any time something weird happens, I blame iBot (sort of like one blames the dog for gas). iBot likely saw your incoming registration form and tweaked it...yeah, that's the ticket. :swing:

Oh my - there are a few other hiccups. (Flag and location seem to be conjoined, one to the other etc). From a purely selfish perspective, I am glad that you don't do all the technical work here - all the more time for our lot, who clearly do more crazier stuff on a far more frequent basis!!!

Our founder passed away so it took a while to reboot (after a long process of grief) and finally now we're getting somewhere. I am the forum admenstruator on there (same username).

Thanks, I felt a bit weird as it auto defined me as one ; my husband has been trying to bring me over to the right for years.

I am socially to the right (hate abortion / pro faith etc) but on economic issues I am off the wall to the left.

Where do you see the "Country Flag" and "Location" conjoined? In your profile? I don't see that on mine:

I put Vatican as my flag - it put it in as my location... (The sad face is more because I don't live in the Holy Sea )

Oh dear...sounds like more iBot tomfoolery.

Now that part is different than on registration - it shows "country" as Vatican, not a flag but not muddled with Location.

Unfortunately when I "save changes", it goes back to conservative for political leaning, because there is no "blank space" option on the fall down of the 3 choices. (It doesn't look to be a required field though).

Okay, Romanos expanded my AdminCP permissions, and I changed your political affiliation to Moderate and your country flag to "Holy See" as they are the same flag according to the developer of the flags mod.
