They can't. Those who have tried by forming exclusively Christian communities have cut themselves off from the main purpose of the church, to reach out with the Gospel to the lost, and they have found that forming an exclusively Christian community does not rid them of sin.

The Kingdom of God can be realized to a large extent on Earth. In fact, Christians who walk in the light - as in truly obey God's word - are living truly happy and enlightened lives. However, those people have been thru tough persecutions, so everything isn't all rosy. It's actually a deep topic.
