None of my neighbors have manservants, maidservants, oxen or asses so I can honestly say no to that part of things.

As far as coveting in general is concerned, I guess a lot would depend on what is considered coveting. Some people believe that people playing poker are only there because they covet the money they might win. If you take that line of thinking you might as well say I'm in the store because I covet the goods on sale.

Sigh … really?
No. Nor have I ever built a wooden god with my own hands; and yet I am not guiltless (except in Christ).

I do not covet anything of anyone's, maybe I did when young. Yet I know I am a wretched sinner who deserves nothing because I am guilty of many other sins. We all are.

That Jesus forgives us when we show contrition is the greatest gift.

I think coveting has a lot do with a desire for something that isn't for sale or isn't willing to be parted with.

For example: My neighbor has lemon trees. I have a few fruit trees. I desired his lemons.

Am I coveting yet?

I approached him and informed him I'd like to trade, if he was interested, for some of my fruit. He agreed and now we barter our fruit.

But what if he did not agree? Then continuing to desire the lemons he grows would be a sin.

Tango brought up poker. It is true that this is a game about acquiring other people's money. However in order to participate, one must be willing to part with one's money on a combination of skill and luck. At any point in the game you can say "no" and fold your hand. If, however, you choose to make a bet or to call one, you have willingly put that money forward as a tradable item based on what you think the outcome will be. Like exchanging fruit, poker is a form of willing trade, with luck and skill as variables.

The coveting command covers things that people are not usually willing to trade, either for moral and personal reasons (a spouse), or as a means of living or sustaining a living (a house, a donkey, a vehicle etc).

We must never think we are perfectly keeping even one commandment, though we may not physically violate it, our heart and mind can and does. And sadly, the first table (direct sins against God) are the ones we break the most IMO.
