Have you ever broken a bone?

What happened and what was it like?

I was maybe 11 years old, ran down the front walk, tripped down the step and when I fell, my third finger folded against the back of my hand. Think I may have fractured a toe once in my 40s when I stubbed it but good (or bad really).

I slipped on ice and instinctively, I extended my left arm to break the fall. Not only did it not break the fall, it broke my wrist. That same slip also resulted in me tearing the tendon in my right ankle. For six weeks, I had a cast on my left arm and light leg (had to have tendon repair surgery).

Yep the first time was from an ETA road traffic accident, broke my left shoulder ended up with a sling on for months and loads of physio, then one year was standing on the back of my sofa like you do lol hanging Christmas decorations up turns to get down and fell about 5ft face down onto the floor, broke 4 ribs, teeth through my bottom lip, broke my right wrist broke my nose and got 2 black eyes all a week before Christmas. Note to self don't stand on your sofa ...lol

I slipped on the basement stairs and broke my wrist. That's the only bone I've broken.
