Had to get tested for Covid 19

Two coworkers tested positive at work.
Could take up to a week to get my results back so the company is paying us the days we are closed.. after everyone who is negative gets their results we return to clean up and sanitize the restaurant to re open

I had a Covid test yesterday in preparation for a biopsy I'm having on Tuesday.

Which kind of test did they do on you? Was it the large swab that goes deep into the nasal cavity? Mine turned out to be one swab in both nostrils, not too far and then she twisted them back and forth. Another lady who was having the test had 2 swabs, one in each nostril at the same time. Kind of weird that we had different tests.

Were these two people symptomatic? I've heard that many people aren't being tested because of the lack of tests, particularly a month or two ago when there were fewer tests.

One of them works mainly as a security guard so im not sure about him, the other was a girl who works normal hours and she felt it coming on pretty strong by the end of the day, feeling like fatigue like the flu although she wasn't running a fever at the time

I have heard that the blood test is not widely used because of the large number of false positives.

My eyes didn't water but for the rest of the day my nose was really smarting.

Do you know what causes the false positives? Are they a problem with accuracy, or a problem with detecting people who have antibodies but not the virus (i.e. people who once had the virus but no longer have it)?

I read it's a problem with the tests being bad. Are they from China?

Glad to hear your results showed up as negative. Perhaps you've already had the virus and you were immune from a secondary infection? I've never been tested as I haven't displayed any symptoms or, been in contact with anyone positive.

I had fatigue months before the test and so did my dad, I think we probably had a type of covid (flue/cold) but bow cov-19.. There are a lot of false positives going around for people who just have the average cold.. This is a strange virus that rapidly mutates and causes different reactions to individuals.. I do not believe it jumped from a bat to humans like this.. it's man made in my opinion, at least they are finally coming out with real information on where in the body it starts and how it develops, thats a start

I think it's man made as well and don't believe the Chinese government on anything for a second. Why would they ever admit to creating this?
