Is graffiti art or vandalism and why?

I think it is the vandalism of a warped ego. Mental illness on parade every time a train goes by. Or every time you see it elsewhere.

It's both. As an artist I really appreciate some of the skills I have seen in graffiti. It's a type of art that I have trouble trying to do. It's also vandalism because they don't have permission to ruin someone's property.

Vandalism.

The art form CAN be expressed without vandalism - but then it's not graffiti.

Depends. The ones who did it on my house, which had to get removed, vandalism, but nowadays they may do it in tunnels and it's art.
