Good power is for sharing; it is like the skills that you can contribute to something constructive and completely unlike the power of kings to execute people and lord it over their hapless subjects.

Can you see anything in the bible to support my opening statement?

Anything to contradict it?

The Eastern Orthodox Church steadfastly holds to that..... the Roman Church passionately and foundationally disagrees.... and this was at the heart of the "split" in 1054 that continues to this day.

The one word answer to your claim is "nonsense" and the evidence against it is a huge literature from Catholics and from the Church too that contradicts what you wrote. Have you never read "The Lord of the Rings"? It's one constant theme is that Good power is shared it is never used to dominate others.

On that, I agree with the Eastern Orthodox Church and very much against the Roman Church. It is ONE of the reasons I left your denomination, this foundational OBSESSION it itself has with the unmitigated, egotistical, lording POWER of it itself alone. It's a major point of disagreement with the RC Denomination and all others and a major cause for the split in 1054.

Of course; it's all through the Bible and other sacred texts.

I could literally give nearly limitless cases of One doing for the sake of another or all, and not for self, or for entitlement or placement or reward, but because it is good.

Your topics make my consider sticking around and actually conversating; then I encounter the other crap and nonsense and confusion and illogic spouted out as fact when itis but the tradition of man, be it from one sect or another.

I am not sure what you mean. Will you explain for my benefit, please?

Support, yes, Jesus and the disciples used the power of the Holy Spirit to serve others.

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me[a] in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

It will be hard to convey my actual message without loosing a level of humility.

I meant and mean that there are still two people here that profess the traditions of man as literal utter truth. Such makes me reluctant to speak of what I believe to be true regardless of the traditions of man.

You can use power for good or power for not good. It is up to you.
