You probably have heard someone say that if you don't ____do what they say____ then you don't love your neighbor. Now with Covid we have people saying that if you don't wear your mask to keep your neighbor from dying then don't talk to them about God or how you are pro-life.

I wear my mask.

But to them I want to say, if you ever take off your mask then you want your neighbor to die...how can I say that? Well, the flu kills more children than adults so maybe they want the children to die? The flu shot doesn't cover every strain of flu so what if you get the one that isn't covered? Wear your mask or you might kill someone.

See how the Law works to condemn?

It's easier to maintain spatial distancing from people, especially in rural areas. If you don't want my germs just stay six feet away from me. It's pretty straightforward - if you get in my face you don't get to complain about me breathing on you.

But you're right, people twist Scripture to try and force people to do their bidding, which kinda defeats the point of it. Of course the silliness spreading faster than the virus - the idea that breathing without a sock on your head is morally and practically equivalent to spraying gunfire into a crowd - isn't the best starting point to try and have a rational discussion.

You might as well point out how many people are killed and maimed on the roads every year. Anyone who truly cared about saving lives would never drive a car, right?
