“He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God?”
- Micah 6:8
Did Jesus change the eternal requirements of God? No; Jesus exemplified them. He lived in total obedience to the Father, not so that we wouldn’t have to, but so that we could.
Recently we looked at these questions in God’s Word -
"Lord, who may abide in Your tabernacle?
Who may dwell in Your holy hill?"
- Psalm 15:1
"Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord?
Or who may stand in His holy place?"
- Psalm 24:3
“Who among us can live with the consuming fire?
Who among us can live with continual burning?”
- Isaiah 33:14b
And we discover God's answer, which is unchangeable, may be a little different than many hear today.
In this short video we explore the requirements of God for His saints, setting aside modern carnal understanding to lay hold of what the Bible alone declares.
The Truth we look at here is for all who would “come after” Jesus. God’s requirements are Eternal. Jesus came and led the Way. He was obedient to all of God’s will and now dwell’s in the bosom of the “consuming fire.”
The question to us is… we will follow? Will we meet the requirements that God has set forth, and receive the inheritance?
“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God and keep His commandments,
For this is man’s all.
14 For God will bring every work into judgment,
Including every secret thing,
Whether good or evil.”
- Ecc 12:13-14
