God's Birthright is about His promise by Faith and His blessings to the lineage He ordained to be defenders of The Gospel, and first ambassadors of The Gospel to the nations. God's Birthright does transfer through the seed, but it is not exactly like a fleshy birthright, because it involves The Gospel of Jesus Christ. So what I'm going to show you, is The Gospel in the Old Testament, and God's blessings that go with it. And for many, this will be against the men's doctrines created by the crept in unawares that are mostly pushed in the Churches.

God's Birthright began with Abram (later as Abraham). In Genesis 12 forward God told Abram He would bless him, and make his name great. Abram comes to the land of Canaan and God promises to give to Abram and his seed those lands forever. In Genesis 14, Melchizedek, king of Salem, met Abram and offered him "bread and wine", and blessed Abram. Per Hebrews 7, that Melchizedek was our Lord Jesus before born through woman's womb. Then in Genesis 15, God gave Abram the Promise by Faith which was 430 years before God gave His law. Abram believed God would do what He said, and God counted Abram's Faith as righteousness.

In Galatians 3 and Romans 4, Apostle Paul taught about this also involving Abraham and the Promise by Faith, which is about The Gospel of Jesus Christ. This is why Paul would say the following...

Gal 3:6-9
6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.
KJV

Thus OUR Faith is the SAME Faith that Abraham had, believing God would accomplish what He said, and God accounting that Faith as righteousness. And thus we are blessed WITH faithful Abraham like Paul said. Melchizedek (Jesus) then offering Abram that "bread and wine" now makes more sense, doesn't it? It means The Gospel of Jesus Christ was first preached to Abram, and that most likely by Jesus Himself. Still have doubts? See this...

Jesus speaking to the blind scribes and Pharisees that sought against Him...

John 8:56-58
56
"Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day: and he saw it, and was glad."
57 Then said the Jews unto Him, "Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast Thou seen Abraham?"
58 Jesus said unto them,
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am."
KJV

The "I AM THAT I AM" is the Name which God gave to Moses when the children of Israel wanted to know who sent Moses. By Lord Jesus saying that, He was claiming to be God (which He is!). That's why in the next John 8:59 verse they took up stones to try and stone Lord Jesus. My point is that Jesus existed... back in Abraham's day, for He is who Melchizedek was that offered Abram "bread and wine" which links to the Promise by Faith first given through Abraham.

And Apostle Paul said all those of Faith have become the children of Abraham, and blessed with faithful Abraham (Galatians 3:7-9). And in Galatians 3:29, Paul even said that if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Thus The Gospel of Jesus Christ was always first, even back in the Old Testament times. And it was first given to Abraham who would become a father of many nations, not just of flesh seed, but also of spiritual seed through Faith.

God also associated blessings and promises with that Faith to Abraham, so those blessings are also part of The Gospel. I will keep a running count on those promises throughout this.

1. the first promise was God's promise of the inheritance of the lands of Canaan with making of Abraham a great nation. (Gen.12:2).

2. the second promise was that God would give Abram and his seed the lands where He guided Abram to (i.e., land of Canaan), (Gen.12:7).

3. God promises to Abram and his seed forever, the land as far as Abraham can see (Gen.13:14-15).

4. God then promises to make Abram's seed as many as the dust of the earth for number (Genesis 13:16).

5. God then promises to Abram one out of his loins would inherit (Isaac), and to look at the sky at the stars if he could number them, so likewise would Abram's seed be. (Gen.15:4-6).

6. God then promises to Abraham that he would be a father of many nations, and that kings would come out of him. (Gen.17:2-6).

7. God promises that He will establish His covenant with Abraham and to his seed for an everlasting covenant. Do you think that continued to Christ's Church under the New Covenant? Yep! It sure does, which I will point out how that is per God's Word eventually (.Gen.17:7).

8. God promises Abraham and Sarah that they would bear a son (Isaac), that God would establish His covenant with him for an everlasting covenant. (Notice the New Covenant ended the old covenant, so don't get confused which 'covenant' God means here as an "everlasting covenant".) Gen.17:19-21.

That Promise God made about Isaac as Abraham's heir is still a major point of contention among the Islamic clerics today. They claim that since Ishmael from Sarah's handmaiden Hagar was actually Abraham's firstborn, then they say Ishmael should be the heir. But that is not... what God said. God specifically said the seed from Abraham and Sarah, not Abraham and Hagar. Sarah being ninety years old, obviously thought our Heavenly Father needed a little help in producing a son to Abraham, but really He didn't need any help. Thus Sarah sending her handmaid Hagar into Abraham's tent would not annul what God had already before promised.

9. Because Abraham did not withhold his son Isaac from God when tested, God blessed him again, saying He would multiply Abraham's seed as the stars of the sky, and the sands of the sea. And that Abraham's seed would possess the gates of his enemies (Gen.22:17). What that means is the going and coming of Abraham's enemies. And there's actually 2 modern gates that Abraham's seed from Isaac have built in the 19th - 20th centuries.

10. God then begins to pass His promises from Abraham to his son Isaac, after Abraham had died. God promises the lands to Isaac that He first promised to Abraham. Thus God's Birthright blessings are being transferred through a 'specific' seed line from Abraham. (Gen.26:1-4) Did that include transfer of God's Birthright and Gospel? Yes, as we eventually find out.

11. By a bit of trickery, Isaac's younger son Jacob disguises himself as his brother Esau the elder, and receives transfer of God's Birthright from his father Isaac. First blessing - give thee the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, plenty of corn (grain) and wine. This is the blessing of the best land resources, bountifulness (Gen.27:28-29).

12. Next blessing is to let peoples serve thee, be lord over thy brethren, cursed be everyone that curseth thee, and blessed be those who bless thee. (Gen.27:29).

Something to note per the Hebrew Massorah in the Gen.27 chapter. After Jacob had left his father Isaac's tent, his elder brother had returned with the venison Isaac asked for, and Esau wanted his father's blessing. But Jacob had already received the Birthright blessing from Isaac, under the sly. Yet God had ordained this when the two children were in Rebekah's womb, and she asked God about it. The younger was to inherit. And Esau returning from the hunt one day with no meat was hungry. Yet Jacob had a pot of beans on the fire, and Esau asked for some of it. Jacob asked him what he would give him, to sell him Esau's birthright. Esau sold it, treated it as wares, and that sealed what God had ordained with His Birthright going to Jacob instead. Per a Massorah note (see The Companion Bible margin), when Esau cried in wanting a blessing too, the KJV shows Isaac gave him the same blessing he gave to Jacob. But the Massorah note shows a word to reveal Esau's portion would 'be away from'... all the things promised to Jacob.

13. Isaac then gives Jacob all the Promises that God gave him that were first given through Abraham. (Gen.28:3-4).

14. Jacob then has a dream, using a rock as his pillow, and seeing angels upon a ladder ascending and descending. He sees The LORD, and He blesses Jacob with the same blessings that were to Abraham and Isaac. (Gen.28:10-22).

15. Jacob wrestles with a man until morning, and would not let go. The man Jacob calls The LORD, and He blesses Jacob, and gives Jacob the new name 'ISRAEL' (Gen.28:24-30). The new name means those who 'overcome' with God's help. It is actually a title directly pointing to God's Birthright and The Gospel of Jesus Christ. We find that even though The LORD told Jacob that he would no longer be called Jacob, but instead 'Israel', that his name Jacob would still be used later. That in itself is a pointer that this new name Israel involved God's Birthright and The Gospel.

16. God repeats his blessing to Jacob about his new name Israel, and then promises that he will make of Jacob's seed "a nation, and a company of nations", and also the promises that were to Abraham (Gen.35:10-12)

This Promise is remarkable because the nation of Israel has only ever been but one... nation. So who are these "company of nations" God promised from Jacob's seed? And using Jacob's new name Israel, it has to mean Israelite nations. Who are they, where are they? That will relate more and more to the Gospel of Jesus Christ; not Gentiles, but of the actual 'seed' of Jacob like God said.

Continued...

Then God's Birthright passed from Isaac to Joseph, as even per Joseph's dreams in Genesis 37, that Joseph would be over his eleven brethren, and even over his mother and father, this reveals Joseph's election by God. Because of the jealousy by Joseph's eleven brethren, they took him and put him in a pit while deciding what to do with him. Some Midianite merchants came by, removed Joseph from that pit, and gave him to Ishmaelites which then sold him in Egypt. God exalted Joseph while in Egypt, even given to interpret Pharaoh's dream about famine. Then Joseph's brethren came to Egypt to buy grain because of the famine, and Joseph disguised himself, but was later reunited with his brethren and parents in Egypt. This began the children of Israel's development as a great many people while in Egypt. There Joseph married the daughter of a priest in Egypt and she bare him two sons, Manasseh the elder, and Ephraim the younger (Gen.41:50-52).

17. We are told in 1 Chronicles 5:1-2 that God's Birthright blessings passed to Joseph's two sons Ephraim and Manasseh. It should have gone to Reuben the eldest of the twelve brethren, but Reuben we are told defiled his father's bed by having sexual intercourse with one of Jacob's concubines (Genesis 35:22). Judah was to be the chief ruler, but the Birthright was to Joseph's two sons.

18. Per Genesis 48:1-22, Jacob was on his deathbed and Joseph brought his two sons Ephraim and Manasseh to him to bless them. Jacob said for his name 'Israel' to be named upon the two lads, and he blessed the younger Ephraim over the elder Manasseh. Jacob said Manasseh would become a great people, but his younger brother Ephraim's seed would become "a multitude of nations". This was the Birthright blessing God had first given to Jacob that his seed would become "a nation, and a company of nations" per Genesis 35. And because Jacob blessed the two lads with declaring his name 'ISRAEL' upon Ephraim and Manasseh, that means those 'nations' have to be Israelite nations.

Thus God's Birthright all the way from Abraham down to Joseph's two sons Ephraim and Manasseh include these main responsibilities and blessings:

1. As many seed as the stars of the sky and sands of the sea.

This is a much greater blessing from God than what many think. The blessing that Ephraim's seed would become "a multitude of nations", and that his brother Manasseh also become a great people, ought to leave you in deep thought. Those multitude of nations are... the nations in The Gospel of Jesus Christ.

2. Blessing of the fatness of the earth, the dew of heaven, and plenty of grain and wine.

What areas of the earth would that be, the fatness of the earth? It means in the best crop producing and natural resources areas of the earth. Ever hear of purple waves of grain, and of a nation that produces much more food than it can consume? What areas of the earth have been historically known for their wine producing? olives and olive oil? And in contrast with Esau's blessing which lands would be 'away from' all these blessings, where would be the worse parts of the earth to produce crops and have the dew of heaven, with lack of plenty of grain and wine? Think Russia, Siberia, China, etc. It's not a big mystery, even as the United States has had to ship grain to Soviet Russia during its history, because most of early Russia's land mass is in the colder regions of the earth and has short growing seasons.

3. Possess the gates of they enemies.

That means the goings and comings of one's enemies. There are two specific gates that God's people have built in past years that help His people to control the seas. They are called the Suez and Panama canals. And the strongest navies historically have been navies of the western Christian nations.

4. Care of The Gospel of Jesus Christ, which began with The Gospel first being preached to Abraham.

Just these 4 blessings that are part of God's Birthright to the specific seed of the Woman which would bear Jesus Christ in the flesh, are enough to trace wherever God's Birthright is that wound upon Ephraim and Manasseh's seed in final, which should be manifest somewhere on the earth still today.

Let's begin with the nation state of Israel in the middle east today. Does it fulfill the Birthright blessing of as many stars of the sky, and sands of the sea? No, it does not. And even if all the Jews in the world were counted, it still would not equal the numbers of the ten tribes that went captive to Assyria and then were scattered through the nations and that would become the "multitude of nations" of Genesis 48. (Per the Jewish historian Josephus, he said the title 'Jew' comes from the sole tribe Judah, and those who returned to Jerusalem from the Babylon captivity used that title for themselves, and also the stranger that dwelt with them. Thus the larger portion of the tribes of Israel, i.e., the ten tribes, were never known by that title Jew.)

What about the Birthright blessings of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of grain and wine? Could that apply to the middle east nation of Israel today? Not really, not if one compares them with the western Christian nations and their ability to produce the wealth of the earth.

And what of possessing the gates of one's enemies? What nation(s) have been historically controllers of that? Again, the western Christian nations. It was once said that Britain controlled the seas with the most powerful navy, but today I'd have to say it is the United States of America.

What about care of The Gospel of Jesus Christ? Can one say the nation state of Israel today in the middle east has care of The Gospel? Absolutely not; the majority of the Jews in today's state of Israel still reject Jesus Christ as The Messiah. The care of The Gospel went mostly to the western Christian nations of Asia Minor and Europe, where it was then sent to the rest of the nations by their ambassadors, which was prophecy. (Isaiah 19)

Then there's the touchy subject about the king line of the house of David, because God promised there would never fail a man in His sight to sit upon David's earthly throne. Some try to push the meaning of that to be that Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven is already sitting upon David's earthly throne since He died on the cross. That simply is not true, because David's throne never was in Heaven, nor ever will be, because it is an earthly throne. And Jesus is to inherit... when He RETURNS to earth (Matthew 19:28). This means David's earthly throne is STILL upon this earth somewhere, with one of David's flesh seed sitting upon it like God promised David. When Jesus returns in the regeneration, then He will take that earthly throne, because it is ultimately His. That throne is no longer... in the Israel of the middle east. It ended in Jerusalem specifically with Zedekiah, king of Judah, in Jeremiah's day.

David's throne was moved... not to Heaven, but somewhere else. And the devil has been attacking it ever sense. It went where the care of The Gospel of Jesus Christ went to, to the "multitude of nations", to the "nation" Jesus specified in His parable of the husbandmen in Matthew 21, the nation that would bear the fruit (Gospel) of the symbolic "vineyard" ("house of Israel" per Isaiah 5, i.e., the ten tribes of Israel).
