Fruit of the Spirit?

Galatians 5:22-23 says
22 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."

Paul said that these things are evidence of fruit of the Spirit, yet unbelievers can sometimes display all of these characteristics and they don't have the Spirit. Is this the only evidence of the Spirit?

I believe Fruit of the Spirit is inside everyone but due to various religion and ways they don't reflect our God's glory. But i do have the same question, a better explanation will help me too.

The obvious reason why unbelievers display those characteristics is because God made man in His image.

We know that we are given the gift of the Holy Spirit in our baptisms as this verse says:
Acts 2:38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Now if you're looking to whether or not man has faith then you might see signs but you might also see a hypocrite. Only God knows who His Children are..we might only be able to guess and until Jesus comes again for Judgment Day we should go by what a man confesses.

I do not believe that this fruit is displayed apart from the grace of God, only a worldly counterfeit. LUST and MOTIVATED SELF INTEREST masquerade as “Love”, but self sacrifice placing the well being of another irrespective of any merit deserving such treatment, like the love of Hosea for his unfaithful wife, is an irrational action in the economy of the World.
