Forgiveness and accountability

How can forgiveness be balanced with the need to hold others accountable for their actions?

We can set healthy boundaries to have that balance. If dealing with a child molester, you can forgive what they did in the past, but you don't allow them to be around children anymore. That prevents the temptation and helps him to not sin again.
