I've seen some reasonably nice looking furniture put out for free. I didn't need the furniture but considered taking it for the wood. I decided against it because it seemed a shame to break something up only to find it was veneered chipboard, if someone else could use the furniture. If I'd broken it up and found it wasn't what I hoped it would end up as firewood.
