What is the earliest childhood memories you can remember?
My sister says its impossible for me to remember some of the things I do.
I remember getting my diapers changed, I remember liking how the powder felt sprinkled on my little butt lol, how my mom lifted my legs and how softly she scrubbed my butt :)
I remember crawling around, I remember staring off into the wood grain panels on the wall and the tv in a daze, i remember words sounding like gibberish.
I remember walking and being very close to the ground, i remember being potty trained. I remember setting on the floor in diapers crying because my sister was sitting on a chair with her backpack on ready for school but it was storming outside and she was crying. I remember my grandma bathing me in the sink and my mother bathing me in the tub. I remember turning my head alot because I thought I saw what I believe was a black cat, but off the corner of my eye it was some small shadow, but when i looked it was gone. i remember blinking my eyes a lot. I remember the car rides to preschool. I remember being babysat by some teenager (i think my oldest sisters friend) and she totally ignored me and went into her bedroom so I crawled around and got into her fridge and drank some apple juice and hid the box behind a couch. I remember going to the pediatrician...

We had a pond down the street from where we lived in Ohio that would freeze over. Me and my sister and dad would go ice skating on it. I'd take a stick from a tree and use it to help me stand up and go around the ice on ice skates.
Some of the memories aren't good ones. I remember getting teased at the bus stop when I was 5 years ago and getting into a fight with a boy.
I remember getting a ribbon in an art contest when I was in kindergarden.

It's not impossible for you to remember those things! I have memories from when I was very young as well! I have memories of hiding under the hutch when people came over and the last time I looked at that hutch at my parent's house it's super tiny underneath! LOL I remember hated being picked up by people holding onto my ribcage because it hurt really bad and I would cry so they thought I hated that they wanted to hold me. I couldn't talk so I couldn't tell them it just hurt the way they picked me up. When I had my own child I refused to pick her up that way and used more of my entire arms to lift her.

There were no sippy cups when I was a baby, so we went straight from bottle to glass. They wouldn't give me a bottle anymore, so I used a glass, and I remember wondering what would happen if, rather than removing my mouth from the round edge, there were a mouth-shaped gap to drink from. So I bit down on the glass to find out, and I broke the glass and got water all over my nightie. I did that several times before they replaced the glasses with plastic. I guess people questioned my mom because of the frequent cuts I'd have from the glass all around my mouth.

My son says he remembers being bathed in the sink. I didn't believe him, but then he described one of the toys he had played with while he sat there, as well as the plastic bathing ring to hold him upright. He was about 6 months old before he outgrew the sink. I never thought memories could happen so young.
