Well, it doesn't have to be the only one, but it could be one. offer the money to those who can go and purchase it themselves from a gun dealer and who can fill out the forms and pass the background check.

You could charge a small price for a ticket to any who would want to participate, and it would help cover the cost.

I see. Well, just remember, guns do make great door prizes. You might purchase a 9mm pistol for 4 to 5 hundred dollars. Sell a door ticket for 10 dollars. Won't take but 40 to 50 people to cover the cost. Everyone is thinking they might get a pistol for 10 dollars.

Have all those ladies tell their husbands and he will make sure they buy a ticket.

That is true. Which is why I said you can provide the money, but the person must make the purchase themselves and fill out the forms and the background check.

In other words you can identify the gun at a certain store that is the door prize. But they make the purchase themselves.
