Dogs left behind?

On Facebook there are shared stories about dogs being left behind by the protester of the North Dakota pipeline. I actually read one of those stories and saw that there were 8 dogs total and 6 were puppies! So to me that means 2 adult dogs that might have been strays looking for scraps or maybe the owners thought the dogs ran away and couldn't find them when it was time for them to leave.

What's strange is the promotion of this story as if it's huge news.

LOL! Face it Lam. Dogs are more important than people. I hate it that the dogs were left, but, they are dogs.m They don't need the press. It is funny in a sad kind of way.

I think they're still finding dogs and yeah, it's just crazy how people will fight for animal rights but unborn babies can be slaughtered and called mass lumps of cells even though now heart beats are detected earlier than originally thought. Let's save the dogs and we'll be more humane. groan

It's a great way to make an emotional appeal against the protesters and avoid the issues. People empathise with poor lonely puppies and (the pups possible parents) and that makes it easy to demonise the protesters.

I can't help feeling a little Déjà vu about the anti-war protests of the later 1960s.
