Does your mood indicate your entire day?

If you start off in the morning with a certain mood, does it indicate that you'll have an entire day of it?

For example, you wake up grumpy, are you grumpy most of the day?

Many times it it indicative of the entire day. Sometimes, something happens that will change my mood for the day.
