Man...that is a question fraught with all kinds of booby traps. I'm not saying you laid any. Just saying the question lends itself to that.
If by 'partner' you mean one of the opposite sex then yes, a Christian can pray for it. Should they? I don't see why they shouldn't.
Of course God prepares one for you, if it is His will that you have one, as He answers prayer.

Yes, but He doesn't necessarily have that one knock on your front door and declare, "God sent me to me your husband." God typically works through means, people, events. It's important to get out there.... meet people.... talk with people.... godly people in godly places. Get to know them. Praying all during the process.
