I think what Adam and Eve's tendency to blame others shows us that it is human nature when caught doing something you shouldn't to try and deflect blame to others or to not take responsibility. I hear it almost everyday when I have counseling sessions. She made me mad or it was my parents fault or a hundred other things. I try not to do that, but I am sure that sometimes I do.

Counseling is a good place for people to learn that their arguing methods are ineffective and why! People learn to not start off with "you" statements or "they". Good point on mentioning counseling!

You can tell people that and sometimes it is like you didn't say anything. They have to be open to hearing it. They have to be open to taking responsibility. Most people aren't from what I have seen.
