There are some huge disasters happening (flooding in Louisiana and fires in California) and I barely hear anything in the news about it but a brief clip. Are people immune now to the horrors of natural disaster or is the media the one to blame for their apathy?

A lot of what I see in the media looks like it's about pushing an agenda rather than informing. Then there's the social media that's about turning everything into a (usually silly) meme, as often as not to make a political point that often doesn't stand up to a lot of scrutiny.

The main thing I've heard about the Louisiana flooding is a bunch of posts asking why the white police are doing more than Black Lives Matter to help black people suffering as a result of the floods, paired with a bunch of memes about Trump visiting the floods while Obama didn't (depending on how you want to spin it, either Trump cares about people suffering while Obama would rather play golf, or Trump is shamelessly promoting himself while Obama is trying not to tie up police presence on security when they are needed elsewhere).

The election seems to be taking up a big part of the news, on one side a clown who is mental and on the other a liar

I've heard more about how long it took Obama to visit Louisiana than the flooding itself.

It's pretty sad when the media is so busy poring over the latest gem/quip/gaffe (delete as required based on facts paired with political leanings) by one or other of the candidates who should both be barred from going anywhere near the White House, that they can't find the time to actually report on what's happening in the country.

They do in sound bites pretty much but you have to really watch news to catch it

The over 600,000 babies killed in abortion. DWARFS all others disasters that get so much press and attention. And nature didn't cause these.

Nope I agree but it is the law of the land therefore not so newsworthy although I am sure that God doesnt see it that way. It is the main reason along with the gay issue that I feel this country will be severely judged and I feel that process has already started

Yes, it is Mark. I'm so tired of hearing what Trump did every day and then the emails issue..sick of that, too.

But really there was a bad earthquake in Italy that has killed around 300 people I think so far. Devestated an entire city there. It must be pretty bad there now.
