How many covered bridges are in your area?

We have quite a few and the town even has a map of them so that people can do a "tour". I took my family around to see them when we first moved out here and they visited, but since then one of the bridges has washed away and hasn't been rebuilt.

I don't think we have any. I've seen a couple, they're pretty cool. Not sure why they are covered though?

There might be some in my state but none near where I live. I think they’re cool, though.

I think it just gives it extra strength for the design as it protects some of the wood parts from the elements, that cause rot?
