Do you put up a real or artificial Christmas tree?

How tall is your Christmas tree?

My husband and I are both highly allergic to pine trees so we've had artificial trees for about 26 out of our 32 years together.

Since it's now just my wife and me, we no longer have a tree. But our best trees were natural with an electric train circling among the presents. One year the tree began leaning so we did a selfy in our PJs and messy hair, with us leaning too and my wife holding a hot water bottle on her hip.

Cue some idiot misapplying the verse in Jeremiah about adorning and worshipping trees....

We have a small artificial tree. We don't decorate it with anything except lights because I suspect our feline companion may decide the decorations look a lot like mice and need to be killed.

When I've got some more space fixed up I plan to make a big tree from a woodworking plan I found.

We use to do a tree when we had children, now my wife and I do a manger.

We used to have real trees when we were first married but artificial for years.
Our big tree is about 9 feet. The small one is about 4 feet including the box it sits on. This year I also bought a small ceramic tabletop tree from Hobby Lobby.

We have an artifical tree. I usually put it up and then my kids or wife decorate it. I am really allergic to pine and would not be able to tolerate a real tree. It is about 7 feet tall.
To tell you the truth, if it was just me I wouldn't bother putting up a tree.

Every year the decorating becomes less fun for me.

What was with the hot water bottle?

It was a gag to make us look tacky, along with the messed up hair and PJs.
