We are using the standard gold communion plate with the individual plastic cups and then they have open gold trays with the wafers in small individual plastic cups too (like some places serve appetizers in at tasting events). Its all open, there are not any plastic films to remove. The individual cups are what they usually use in regular communion when intinction is not being done.

That’s what we have. Once I spilled some wine on my clothes and this Easter, the wine was leaking out of the cover. Luckily, my husband was there and was accidentally given the elements even though he isn’t Lutheran. He gave me his to consume,

This Easter we had open cups with bread in them and separate cups with juice in them. We went forward in line, took the disposable cups with bread and juice, consumed them, then dropped the disposable cups in garbage cans before returning to our seats.
