can anyone identify my mysterious religious pendant?

ive had this item all my life. and to this day, i still cant make heads or tails to what this represents. the date may say 1917 or later date..

It is a Catholic medal most often associated with Saint Catherine Labouré following her vision of the Blessed Virgin Mary and made by goldsmith Adrien Vachette. It is not advocated in official Catholic teaching but many people wear it or use it with book ribbons. Some Catholics believe that wearing the medal with faith and devotion can bring special graces through the intercession of Mary.

i dont know why i took so long to try and find out what this thing was. iam sure by now it should be worth something.. but only an appraisal would know. i wont sell it of course.
