We sang it a couple Sundays ago at a baptism, at the ELCIC parish I now attend. I'm still getting used to their hymnody. They sing everything from very "evangelical" stuff to the papist things. I'm used to Anglican hymns of the more high church/papist variety.

Catholic hymns are good

In many cases, but this one was written by a Lutheran (a member of the LCA at the time, now the ELCA). I wouldn't be surprised if Catholics use this Lutheran song; most of the songs my Catholic parish used in worship were Protestant.
