Bank Errors

Has your bank ever made an error? Added funds to your account that weren't supposed to be there? Took too much money out? Did these errors ever get addressed and fixed? Is your bank pretty reliable for the most part?

About 30 years ago the banks would make errors a lot but I haven't noticed any in recent days. Smarter computers? LOL

Closest thing I had to that was an ATM withdrawal that never showed up on my account. That was about 30 years ago and the amount was trivial.

I had a weird quirk on a credit card transaction a while back at a brewpub I like. Somehow the total was listed as the tip amount. I noticed it because the grand total was way more than any normal bill, so I checked my receipt. It took a little bit of figuring what they had done. I raised a question with the credit card company and they sorted it out.

One time I had an extra $1000 in my account and I thought that was pretty cool but I'll just leave it and see what happens. A few days later it vanished.
