Do you prefer to keep autocorrect on or off? Why or why not?

I keep autocorrect on my phone but it changes a lot of words without my noticing until I press Send and then my message makes no sense. Stupid phone.

I wish autocorrect would decide whether it wants to be helpful or useless.

It's handy when it catches simple typing errors on a small keyboard. It's utterly useless when I'm trying to type in something and it decides to change it for something else entirely. Only yesterday I was trying to note down the numberplate of a truck driving dangerously through town and my phone decided to change it to something totally different, meaning what I ended up with is worthless.

Prefer to keep autocorrect automatically turned off. Instead, I'll read the sentence back to see where the spelling mistakes lie, and then finish with Grammarly to help with any grammatically incorrect sentences in my posts and articles. Makes more sense!
