How often do you invite other people to join you at church? I don't know many people where I live so it's hard for me to ask people. At work it is really not appropriate even though I have asked 2 close friends.

Do you find it difficult to ask people to go with you to church?

No do it all the time as part of a ministry helping people out. One of the questions we ask is have you been in church in the last 30 days and if they say no I invite them to ours

I invite friends on rare occasions and strangers more often. Not many turn up even if they agree to come. Many people are polite when asked but when the crunch comes they find some reason not to go to church. It's no wonder really with so many Christians abandoning regular attendance at church. We teach far more clearly by what we do than by what we say. If we don't go then how can we ask anybody else to go without some degree of hypocrisy?

I don't find it difficult to ask but it is matter of deciding if the person one is talking to would be likely to have any interest in going. Still, it is worth a try even if they seem unlikely.
