My most recent adventure was to read saint Paul's letter to the Philippians in a single sitting quickly so I'd notice that it is a letter and not a theological thesis densely packed with doctrine

No. None at all.

But I had cats, dogs, and a gold fish as a child and into early adulthood. I like cats and dogs (fish are a little boring) but it takes a lot of time and money to keep one (or more) so I have none at this time. I have plenty of friends with pets and I get plenty of exposure to their pets so I feel quite well catered for as far as dogs and cats go.

PS: I do have some spiders in the house, daddy-long-legs and I don't mind them making cobwebs around the place.
