I don't go out in my car on New Years Eve any more. I haven't in about 25 years ever since a drunk driver almost smashed into me. Scared the begebbers out of me. Of course with my bad ankle now I can't do much.

I went out for New Year's Eve once and it wasn't as fun a time as when we stay home. We were with friends even and at a club but I was nervous about the ride home because people tend to drive like idiots back where I used to live! Now I just worry when my daughter goes out!

I think more and more people stay home on this holiday.
