I'm not sure how you define a "good dresser". Unless there's a specific reason to do otherwise I dress for comfort. If I'm not particularly fashionable I really don't care. Many of the T-shirts I wear have company logos on them, from local companies that gave away free shirts with purchases. If I'm just staying at or near home and not needing to be presentable I usually cycle through them.
If I need to dress up I can and will, I just prefer not to.

I dress for comfort not fashion. Many of my clothes come from the consignment shop and/or the 'gently used' shop. Many of the clothes I buy still have the original price tag on them and are brand new. For special occasions, I can dress up and look like I've spent a small fortune on my outfit. Oh, if only they knew where I bought it. lol

There is a Goodwill not far from Chicago where high end clothes are sold with tags on! That's where I bought all my work clothes
