Are the Jews Gods chosen people?

Saw this question asked on a facebook group, a supporter posted from Isaiah and a Christian fellow responded with Acts..

IMO, "the Elect" are God's chosen people. It so happened that (with perhaps individual exceptions) the Hebrews were such in the OLD COVENANT (lasting roughly 1400 years) but now His people are those He has given faith (that is, Christians).

The elect belong to Jesus and will be turned over to God after the 1000 year reign of Christ, the Jewish are still Gods chosen

If anyone rejects the Savior then he is not one of God's chosen and that includes any Jewish people.

Just do a word study of "ELECT" and "CHOSEN" in the NT.

I think it will affirm that CHRISTIANS are God's chosen people; not those who can trace their DNA back to Abraham. Faith makes us His own, not that we CLAIM that our ancestory goes back to Abraham.
