Julius Caesar, Alexander the Great, Charlemagne, William the conqueror, Edward the confessor and so forth are considered heroes in English speaking lands while Hitler, Napoleon, Attila the Hun, and Genghis Khan are seen more as anti-heroes. Is any of this in accord with biblical teaching?

Everyone loves a winner (except the losers)

Most historical figures have feet of clay.

Hitler was a decorated war hero, did not drink or smoke or use foul language and loved children.

Churchill smoked, drank 2-3 quarts of whiskey daily and swore like a trooper. Well he was a trooper as a younger man.

That's a lot of whisky. I presume it was the finest aged single malt Scottish whisky!
