Apple Watch saving lives

Have any of you had a recent event where your apple watch (or really any smartwatch) alert you to something that could have identified a health risk or something that you probably should get checked out? It's crazy to think that wearing a watch can detect some types of issues from blood related, or even heart problems while you do your day to day tasks.

As posted on another thread, I have had a few cardiac events. Thanks to my watch, I am able to determine what my next step is up to and including sending ECG strips to my personal physician.

Nothing that led me to have something checked out. It was interesting to see the difference in stats from my smartwatch back in February when I caught something that took me down for two weeks (with the benefit of hindsight I'm not ruling out having had COVID, even though it officially wasn't within 3000 miles of me at the time). My resting pulse increased by 15-20bpm, my stress levels (measured by variation in heart rate) rose by about 15% and the amount of sleep I got increased substantially as I went to bed earlier and got up later. I can look at the stats and tell from that alone which days were the worst.

Aside from that I just set an alert on my watch so that if my pulse rises past a certain point it buzzes at me. Usually by the time my pulse goes that high I'm getting close to my anaerobic limit so cool off anyway but sometimes I don't.
