"A Kansas teacher who argued she had a religious belief that prevented her from calling transgender or nonbinary students by their preferred names and pronouns reached a $95,000 settlement with school district officials, according to a release from the teacher's attorneys.

Pamela Ricard, who teaches math at Fort Riley Middle School, had been suspended for violating the Geary County Schools' Diversity and Inclusion Policy that requires educators to refer to students by their preferred names and pronouns. In the lawsuit, she said she refuses to use the preferred names and pronouns of transgender and nonbinary students because it violates her religious beliefs."

It seems to me that IF this teacher is a Christian, Jew or Muslim... and thus adheres to at least the OT and perhaps the NT... then yes, she is to hold that there are two genders: male and female. That's it.

And this is determined by God via biology, by how God biologically made us. If one doesn't know what gender they are, perhaps they should stand nude in front of a mirror or trusted friend. It's surprisingly easy to determine.

One might choose to PRETEND they are something other than they are ... a butterfly or a bunny rabbit or angel or perhaps a boy or girl... and I don't have a huge moral problem with that (although there are some Scriptures that might be mentioned on this point). But pretending is not being. I can pretend I'm a T-Rex, but that does not make me a T-Rex...it just means I'm PRETENDING.

Now, MY reaction to this as a teacher would be to play along; just not that big of a deal. But then I'd also strongly, very strongly, consider resigning as a teacher or moving to a private Christian school that doesn't play such silly games. My wife is a FORMER public school teacher... the number of which is soaring...
