What small thing have you changed in your house that makes your life just a little easier/better?

Hard to choose a small thing given the scope of my home improvement project. If I had to choose something small I'd say the addition of ceiling fans. They make it easier to sleep at night in a literal sense.

What makes it easier to sleep at night in a more metaphorical sense is the removal of the knob and tube wiring.
