What is a hard truth that people don't want to hear but actually need to?

Jesus died only for the elect. The rest are wasting their time trying to save themselves. You steal a person's life away from them leading them to believe they can save themselves.

And if this is true, you are likewise wasting your time trying to convince the *un-elect* of the error of their ways/beliefs. It's all predetermined, according to you, so there is no point in trying to convince anyone, as if 1689Dave, through his postings on a message board, could make any difference. Oh, and imagine if you did, then they may have to change, which would be, in your words "wasting their time trying to save themselves" because it's all up to God.

And Dave, lol.

I do not lead people on. Offering salvation based on meeting conditions gives people false hope. This is what you find in most churches and most "Christian" forums. = based on lies and theft of a person's life.

The Apostles "Preached" (announced) the gospel to whoever believed. The saved embraced it, the rest thought it was foolishness. They lived the rest of their life as they were supposed to.

The hard truth is that a particular sin or sins might be very bad and they will suffer real consequences for it. I had this explained to me once and I didn't appreciate it at the time.
