Pro 6:16-19 [16] Six things there are that the Lord hates, and the seventh, his soul detests: [17] haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, [18] a heart that devises the most wicked thoughts, feet running swiftly unto evil, [19] a deceitful witness bringing forth lies, and he who sows discord among brothers.
  1. haughty eyes,
  2. a lying tongue,
  3. hands that shed innocent blood,
  4. a heart that devises the most wicked thoughts,
  5. feet running swiftly unto evil,
  6. a deceitful witness bringing forth lies,
  7. and he who sows discord among brothers.

These things apply to the person named in the preceding verses:
Pro 6:12-15 [12] An apostate man, a harmful man, walks with a perverse mouth; [13] he winks with the eyes, touches with the foot, speaks with the finger. [14] With a depraved heart he devises evil, and at all times he sows conflict. [15] To this one, his perdition will arrive promptly, and he shall be crushed suddenly: he will no longer have any remedy.

This is homo apostata according to the Vulgate.

It's an interesting summary of what makes a man (or a woman) wicked in God's eyes.

Isaiah 59:7-8
7 Their feet run toward evil, And they hasten to shed innocent blood; Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; Desolation and destruction are in their highways.
8 The way of peace they do not know, And there is no justice in their course; They have made their paths crooked; Whoever goes on it does not know peace.
Romans 3:15-17
15 “Their feet are swift to shed blood;
16 ruin and misery mark their ways,
17 and the way of peace they do not know"
Romans 5:1
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with (before) God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Romans 5:2
through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.

Our journey into God through our being justified out of faith has not yet been completed; thus, Paul used the word toward God, not with God. Grace is for our standing (v. 2), and peace is for our walk.

Rom 5:1

Therefore G3767 being justified G1344 by G1537 faith, G4102 we have G2192 peace G1515 with G4314 God G2316 through G1223 our G2257 Lord G2962 Jesus G2424 Christ: G5547

John 3:36 “He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

Reject the Savior and you'll be damned.

1 Peter 4:15-19(NRSV)

15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, a criminal, or even as a mischief maker. 16 Yet if any of you suffers as a Christian, do not consider it a disgrace, but glorify God because you bear this name. 17 For the time has come for judgment to begin with the household of God; if it begins with us, what will be the end for those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 And

“If it is hard for the righteous to be saved,
what will become of the ungodly and the sinners?”
19 Therefore, let those suffering in accordance with God’s will entrust themselves to a faithful Creator, while continuing to do good.

Peter was writing to the dispersed Jews 1 Peter 1:1 The persecution they were suffering didn't come from the Gentiles; it came from the opposing Jews, the unbelieving Jews, those who disobeyed the gospel.

2 Thessalonians 1:8
Rendering vengeance to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 1:5
Through whom we have received grace and apostleship unto the obedience of faith among all the Gentiles on behalf of His name,

God's unique commandment in this age, the age of grace, is that man should believe into His Son, the Lord Jesus. Whoever believes into Him will be saved; whoever does not believe has been condemned already, because he has not believed into Him (John 3:18). The Holy Spirit convicts the world of the sin of not believing into the Lord (John 16:8-9), of not obeying God's unique commandment. When we believe into the Lord, we have the obedience of faith, and the result is grace and peace (v. 7).
