The actual Body and Blood, or just symbolic?

Sounds like a Catholicism definition. Anyway, I reflect on the purpose of His given body and blood as I see it.

The actual Body and Blood, or just symbolic?

I feel that communion is a time to remember what your faith is in. He gave His body and blood for us to make it possible for us to be saved. Faith in what He did there and His resurrection is what saves us. Communion is a time to reflect on your faith, that it's in the proper place for...

The actual Body and Blood, or just symbolic?

Christ gave us many spiritual symbolisms, communion is just one of many.

Did Christ die for them that are perishing ?

Fancy meeting you here, BF. How's the hyper-Calvinism going along?

Did Christ die for them that are perishing ?

There's a condition for salvation, you must believe, if not, there is no coming back to God. You are eternally separated from Him. But I'm not coming here as a brand new member and argue this over and over again. I don't want to be recognized as that person.

Did Christ die for them that are perishing ?

As long as you see eternal punishment as temporary we will disagree. No where in Scripture is this said. You are left with the actual proof of what you've said, not an interpretation of what you believe it says.

Did Christ die for them that are perishing ?

I have to disagree, respectfully, that all will be saved in the end! He came to undo what Adam had done in condemning man through sin in disobedience. Remember, all of creation fell, not just man through Adam's choice to disobey God. Paul said that all of creation groans for the...

Did Christ die for them that are perishing ?

I was in a hardware store maybe a year ago witnessing to a man. He said, it doesn't matter how I live, I may suffer for my wrongs but in the end I will be saved. I just shook my head and thought, the UR has struck again. I went on to tell him it does matter how we live and what we believe...

Did Christ die for them that are perishing ?

I wouldn't stand in opposition of the UR if it didn't create a false sense of salvation in the end for those who have no knowledge of the Scripture. That, unfortunately is what it does. The intensions are good, but the harm to others must be acknowledged.

Did Christ die for them that are perishing ?

You can't just post a long line of Scripture, you have to explain and point it out to make your point.

Did Christ die for them that are perishing ?

But I will not take from the them the good intentions they have. I wish all if was true, myself, but it can't be proven from Scripture, that's my point.

Did Christ die for them that are perishing ?

Oh, so there is no literal Hell, how convenient for the UR. Prove there is no literal Hell, yes I know, you can't do that either. In fact, the UR can prove nothing they say from Scripture.

Did Christ die for them that are perishing ?

If you're understanding that Scripture correctly, then show us where ALL men will escape the rejecting of Christ. The Scripture plainly places them in the Lake of Fire, all you have to do to make believers of us is to show us where they get out.

Did Christ die for them that are perishing ?

Did God get His way when He told Adam not to eat of a certain tree that brought forth death? Man has free will to choose his way, even from the very beginning.

No one is saved by faith alone.

I would agree with that! Paul said there is no other foundation to build on but Christ, He is the Foundation. There are several different ways we can build on the wrong foundation with our works.

Did Christ die for them that are perishing ?

With the element of free will, God doesn't always get His way. That's why all that choose not to believe will go to be with their father Satan in Hell. The Scripture clearly places all whose name is not written in the Book of Life in the Lake of Fire. The UR needs to show us where they get...

No one is saved by faith alone.

Our works equals rewards, and if not for the proper reasons, we will lose those rewards., as Paul said. Salvation is by faith alone, but our works, as James said, work with our faith to prove our salvation. And our works if not present following our faith could be an indication of no present...

No one is saved by faith alone.

Paul has already told us in several of his epistles that we cannot trust in works for salvation. He even tells us that works makes Grace void, in other words believing in works to be saved cancels out Grace. In 1 Cor. 3:11-15, Paul tells us that our works (the works that follow our faith for...

No one is saved by faith alone.

It seems if you are correct Eph. 2:8-9 should be removed from Scripture. He said "not of works." I don't think it can be said any clearer than that. No works involved in salvation! Does James see salvation differently than Paul? No, they are looking at salvation from different angles.

No one is saved by faith alone.

Paul made it clear that we are saved by grace through faith and not of works, lest any man should boast. Eph. 2:8-9 He's saying our salvation is by faith alone. James is not speaking of our initial salvation as is Paul, but what proves our salvation. Paul and James are not at odds in our...
