Why are Christians afraid of Judgment Day?

Many Christians have been told that God never judges their works, that they go straight to heaven when they die as they are immortal, and thus have no need of Christ or His Second Coming to redeem us. I have also come across Christians who say there is no day of judgment and reject the plain...

Understanding who Jesus was, the Creator and Lord of the Sabbath.....

Jesus Christ is “Lord even of the Sabbath day”, but the fullness of that statement needs to be understood by understanding who Jesus was. “For the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath day.” Matthew 12:8. By identifying Himself as “Lord even of the Sabbath day,” Jesus was, in reality...

Sabbath or Sunday? What did Jesus teach & show in scripture?

Well, look at what Jesus said... Matthew 19:16-17 King James Version (KJV) 16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou...

Is Veneration of the Saints something that is allowed by God?

I think we already settled that veneration is defined as worship..

Is Veneration of the Saints something that is allowed by God?

As I said, shoot the messenger. But to answer your question, worship other than to God is wrong no matter who it is, and worse if its a idol. I think scripture is very clear on that.

Is Veneration of the Saints something that is allowed by God?

Then why allow them into the church, its clear they have been brought in, and all the evidence points to one church at the center of it.

Is Veneration of the Saints something that is allowed by God?

I think exposing the false doctrines and pagan traditions allowed in and especially what points out the apostate church would be of concern, but shooting the messenger seems to be easier...

Sabbath or Sunday? What did Jesus teach & show in scripture?

So are we free to steal, commit adultery, and murder each other and sin to the utmost. Hmm...

What are the seven kings of Rev. 17:10?

Here is from my friend Amo which makes it much more clear.."Rev 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation...

The false doctrines of the Preterist and Futurist interpretation

So do you believe God knows the future?

Doctrine of total inability/total depravity or do we have a free will.

Now we see that scripture says man is depraved as all has sinned and come short of God's glory. All are sinners and are spiritually separated from God. Genesis 8:21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savor; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake...

Doctrine of total inability/total depravity or do we have a free will.

Lets see if everyone can check and see if I got the doctrine outlined correctly, then we can look at the issues it raises.... The doctrine of total depravity (or total inability) says that all men, as a consequence of the Fall, are born morally corrupt, enslaved to sin, at enmity with God, and...

The False Doctrine of 'Once Saved, Always Saved'.

Nineveh was in the same boat (no pun intended) and yet they turned from their sins, so God allows for us to come to Him or go away, just because He knows the future doesn't mean He 'forces' us into sin.

The False Doctrine of 'Once Saved, Always Saved'.

Judas is a good example to look at of those who turned away, as Christ accepted him into the inner circle of the twelve, with no judgment on his character. Lets go over what scripture shows us. He was learned man, a scribe who said he would follow Christ unconditionally: Matthew 8:19-20 King...

The False Doctrine of 'Once Saved, Always Saved'.

I dont think this issue of freewill is so complicate, man makes it so. God and the devil are fighting over each and everyone of us, and God knows the past and the future, yet still out of love tries to save us, so none perish.

The False Doctrine of 'Once Saved, Always Saved'.

I am a sailor, so I like to use a sailing metaphor. You take your sailboat off the beach unto the ocean of life, and the power of the Holy Spirit is there, to fill your sails and guide you on the path to God. But some get fearful and go back to the beach and put away their sailboat or never...

The False Doctrine of 'Once Saved, Always Saved'.

I myself don't consider "HS" to be proper, so lets just say "Holy Spirit", is that preferable?

What are the seven kings of Rev. 17:10?

Who are they and what is the significance of this prophecy to the end times? Here is the text in question... Revelation 17 King James Version (KJV) "1 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the...

The False Doctrine of 'Once Saved, Always Saved'.

Of course not, but it is there and if we from our freewill allow it to do its work then we are drawn to God, if we reject the Holy Spirit, we put ourselves on dangerous ground.
