Four more bowls today. Two live edge from some hemlock I had left lying around. I still don't care much for hemlock but a sharp bowl gouge gives it a halfway decent finish. Then I cut a janky offcut from a maple burl in half and made two bowls out of it, one of which was a very small bowl. It looks kinda silly - it's smaller across than my lathe chuck and looks comical on a lathe that could turn something literally ten times the size. But making small stuff is fun too.

It's nice here too but today it's pretty foggy. The shirts I usually wear for exercising are gray so I'll need to either dig out my bright yellow shirt, or wait until the fog lifts.

Lazy day today, but I managed to do a little work to fix up an old bike I bought for my youngest granddaughter. It's seen better days but as far as I can tell it's mechanically sound. For now she'll just be riding up and down a very quiet short road with training wheels, so there's only so much that can go wrong. Once she's comfortable without the training wheels maybe we'll get her something newer.
