Prayer Request Thread - March 2025

My wife and I have been attending a new church for the last several weeks. I know all churches have problems but so far we haven't specifically seen them at this church. The pastor appears receptive to our thoughts and we recently had dinner with one of the elders and his wife, and they seem keen for us to be involved with the church.

At this point we want to figure the lay of the land before we rush into formal membership but at the same time we want to strike an appropriate balance between being and doing. Sooner or later we want to serve in some capacity if we're going to stay around, but we both feel as if our previous church misses us more for what we did than who we were and we don't want to find ourselves too busy "doing church" to "be church".

Honestly, it still feels kinda strange to want to go to church on a Sunday morning.

I've got one of those too. Without going into inappropriate detail on a public board a situation is developing that could turn into something very good, but also has the potential to go sideways in a big way. Wisdom, guidance etc would be really useful things to have about now.
