    If you think you can make yourself perfect then you're relying on yourself to be your own Savior. In our baptism, we clothe ourselves in Christ and God sees us as He sees His son Jesus, which is perfect.

    Lutherans don't believe in decision theology either. We believe that God predestines who will have eternal life but does not predestine them to Hell. Whoever believes when they die are the elect.

    The Law can't save us. It's the Gospel that brings us to salvation. So why do we still need the Lord's good and holy Law? Because it shows our love for God and for our neighbor. Our neighbors need us to live like little Christs.
