I am living proof that God is either evil or incompetent. If He exists, then He has watched my suffering unfold with full knowledge and power to stop it, and chose not to. Either He wills pain for reasons beyond compassion, or He lacks the ability to prevent it. In both cases, His silence speaks louder than any sermon: a deity who allows such cruelty cannot be both good and almighty.
