Do you think you're in a war between good and evil. A battle between the darkness and light or "the dark side" and "the light side"? Is that a Christian way of looking at your experiences and the world?

Absolutely, we are to pray and intercede because we are in a comstant battle with the forces of evil as are the angels. If it is defeated in the spiritual then it will not manifest in the physical but if not

I don't think I'm in the war but surrounded by it and that evil tries to influence me. God has said that nothing can snatch me from Him but scriptures also give indication that I can turn away on my own choice. The good angels battle the evil angels to keep me safe from harm.

There is an entity called satan who hates humanity and is a master of deception. He is the god of this world who pulls the wool over the minds of unbelievers and believers alike. He really wants people to believe he does not exist so he can promote havoc into their lives and cause them to perish without knowledge that Lord Jesus has already defeated him by His death and resurrection.
2 Cor. 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Satan, his army of fallen angels and demons is the force behind what many of us do in daily life. That's why when we judge others we're to look past the person to the spirit behind their actions. And why Jesus said "forgive them for they know not what they do"

The word for created mankind is to look out for sin because it is seeking to destroy you. That word was given to Cain and was repeated by Peter, thereby giving it as a continuos word for us today.

Is your post a reply to my question? If it is I do not see how it relates ...

Often when I log in I do so from a quote then remove the quote to post my thoughts. Your post was not in reply to my post either since it didn't have a quote so why think my reply was a response to your unquote?

I wondered if it was a reply because it immediately followed mine. But if it is not a reply then okay.

Control? Yes. Does He also give us choices to make, whether we choose the green shirt today or the blue? Yes. :D

I also think of the conversation from Job that God had with Satan. God is still in control no matter what Satan thinks.

Yes, we make choices and the choices we make are significant and they do influence our eternal state but the question in this thread is about the way people perceive good and evil in their experience and in their theology. It starts with this question Do you think you're in a war between good and evil. A battle between the darkness and light or "the dark side" and "the light side"? Is that a Christian way of looking at your experiences and the world?

My theology knows that in Revelation God wins :)

Yes, and he is behind all of the false religion that deceives people into idolatry as well.

The book of revelations is not read by many so many are not aware of the end from the beginning. And overcoming of the devil, world or flesh isn't a popular teaching either. Teachers and preachers that know better don't practise telling the complete truth but give way to political correctness of the Laodocean way instead.

In Revelation (Catholics have usually called the book The Apocalypse) There is a battle between Michael and his angels and The Dragon and his angels and at the end of the book there is a battle of the nations against the City of God - in both cases God's servants win and their victory is never in any doubt.
