It seems like people with like cats more or dogs more. Which are you?

I am a cat lover and we currently have 2 Siamese cats who are sisters from the same litter. They are 2.5 years old. Gracie and Ruthie. They give us both lots of entertainment.

Well I love most animals, so I have a dog and a cat which play a lot together though my cat is one of the nastier types :p it tends to tell my 60 kilograms dog whatever he needs and he's the king, well I'm the emperor so, I win ^_^

I like both...each species has its merits for sure. Dogs are more like us in that they need constant validation whereas a cat's indifference can be admirable. :D As far as mammalian predators go, I think none can top the cat. They are pure poetry in motion. :D

I have two dogs and one cat. That is a pretty good analogy to which I prefer.

We are the crazy cat family in our neighborhood. We have four cats and one stray that wants to join our family, but he sprays so he has to stay outside

I could go either way. I don't understand people thinking you have to pick either one or the other. Why can't you love both cats and dogs? What's even more puzzling to me is when people act like in order to love one, you have to HATE the other. They talk about how awful cats are because they love dogs, or talk about how awful dogs are because they love cats. I just don't get it.

This said, we couldn't have a dog right now even if by some miracle my cat-loving, dog-merely-tolerating husband agreed to it. We have two cats, and the nephew who moved in with us brought along two more. Our house is just full.

But if this were an ideal world, I think I'd have one of each. ETA, make that two of each. I think that would be the most fun.

What kind of dog do you have? Some breeds are known for being less dog-friendly.

Chiuwhawhas are known for not being the most dog friendly on the whole and terriers tend to show other dogs up. While some are better than others, but they just tend to be that way.

I like dogs and cats, just never actually had a dog, i dont think I could be bothered taking it out for a walk 4 times a day especially in winter , my cats are both indoor cats and it was said once that cats have staff and dogs have owners... lol. i think that is actually true in my case..
