I bought a trainer for my bicycle and have been riding it in the basement about 4 times a week. That's not as often as I'd like and if I were outside I'd definitely ride for a longer period of time than I do now.

What do you do for a workout?

Walk, push ups, sit ups, and weight lifting. Not much cardio specifically, but the walk is uphill, so it gets the heart beating good.

I don't get much of a workout. I take a couple of walks with my dog each day. I need to get into more exercise.

Routine is key for motivation. If you set a certain time of day for your workout it makes it a little easier.

I run a few times a week, eliptical a couple times and lift weights twice a week.

I was an athlete all through college, so working out hard became somewhat of a habit for me.

Fat tires? A mountain bike
Skinny tires? A road bike
In between? A hybrid

That's the norm at least :) I have a road bike but I need to get a mountain bike or hybrid to ride on the gravel trails where I live.

I prefer cycling on a real bike on real roads than using an indoor bike. Using a real bike means that even if you stop pedalling and freewheel for a while you're still going somewhere, and if you're fought your way up a stonking great hill you get to freewheel down it. It's a lot of fun following a winding road at 40mph thanks only to gravity. An indoor bike gets tedious after a while - if you stop pedalling the bike is quick to tell you that your effort has dropped to zero watts and your cadence has dropped to zero, and you still don't enjoy a view other than whatever is in front of you. You also lose the benefits of wind resistance - while it's a nuisance that stops you going faster it also provides useful cooling as your speed increases. On an indoor bike you heat up and unless you've got a huge fan you just start pouring sweat over everything.

I also like to take long walks in the mountains. Right now I don't have as much time for that as I'd like but when I can just go out and forget about everything I can easily cover 15-20 miles just exploring the trails.

I run 5-6 times per week (training for my first ultra). I lift twice a week, do some biking, and try to fit in daily yoga and dance. In the winter, I lift more and swap out the long weekend runs for skiing.

contango, I prefer biking outside as well! Where I live it's not safe out on the roads to do that though so I'm stuck for now with my bike hooked up to a trainer. It's fun though because I don't have to worry about getting hit by a car.

I workout at the gym three or four times a week. Two hours a day on cycling, treadmill, step stepper, and nordic climb.
