Oh wow! I live in a small city, and we don't have a lot of these new teachings circulating here.We have Baptists and Methodist in the city. Outside city limits we have one Kingdom Hall and one LDS church. I learn about some of this stuff from friends like you on the net. The scripture tells us that the world hates us and that in the world we will have tribulation, but to be of good cheer for Lord Jesus has overcome the world. IMO that means we cannot expect any cooperation from the world.Jesus did not take over the Roman Empire when He walked the Earth, and I don't recall Him instructing His disciples to do so either. He did tell them to go and teach all nations the things that He taught baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. He said for us to lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. I don't recall where he said dominate anybody. He said we are salt and light. Thank you for cluing me in so I can be on the lookout for these vain philosophies of men.

That's pretty much what I tried to tell the person I knew who was into this stuff, how we were told to go and make disciples and if taking dominion over the world was important Jesus might have at least made a passing mention of it.

Dominition is yet another lie if you look at end times scripture

Yes it is, although it crops up depressingly frequently within some groups associated with the fringes of the charismatic and pentecostal movements. That's not intended as a dig at you personally, just an observation that those of us (and I include myself in the group) who identify as broadly charismatic/pentecostal need to be particularly alert for the silliness that creeps in from some sources (yes, I'm looking at you Bethel/IHOP etc)

I had a friend who was attending IHOP in another city, she does not go any more. But she would talk about things that went on there. IMHO it is mind control/cultish. But I never went so it is not fair for me to say. People get pulled int men rather than Lord Jesus, and this is very dangerous.

I've seen what they call worship and from that alone I want nothing to do with the place. Throw in some of their goofball teachings and they way they butcher Scripture (e.g. in their "Israel mandate" on their web site) and I rank them as dangerous. I would honestly advise a Christian to spend time watching a porn movie rather than following IHOP, which gives you an idea of just how highly I rate IHOP.

So the Kingdom coming out of us looks like love imho. I guess we have to take an honest look at the love chapter to see what love looks like and what it does not look like.

1Cor. 13:If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8 Love never fails.

The Bible also says that Perfect love casts out fear

2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

So we have the perfect love in us by the Holy Spirit.

Yes, we also need to consider what James wrote:

Jas 1:27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

As Paul wrote to the Corinthians, if we don't have love nothing else matters. Another thing that's quite a sobering challenge is this one:

1Pe 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; (emphasis mine)

The only reason we'd need to "give a defense" to someone who asked about the hope within is us because they could see the hope within us, they could see we weren't like other people. How often do people ask us about the hope within us?

It has been a while since we visited this subject, but, I think we should revisit it. Do you think it is a relevant subject? Lord Jesus said many things about the Kingdom of Heaven, or Kingdom of God. Is there a difference?

-- thy kingdom come --
a kingdom is a realm that is influenced by a ruler .. and where ever that rulers influence reaches is "his "kingdom"

Allitis I don't know much about all of that stuff either. I did learn that which you stated about a kingdom. I never lived in a kingdom style government. I don't think we can give God a Kingdom.Jesus preached the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Do you think He was saying 'The King is here," ?

no i think he was saying the full governmental authority has arrived (in himself) and once he was resurrected the full authority of that kingdom was restored .. the authority that Adman lost ..the Lord JEsus has regained in Full .he said ALL authority is given me in heaven and on earth .. and now .. i send you ..go and in y name ..do the works of the kingdom.. in essence search out and pull down the enemies mischievous wicked destructive works ..and restore Gods goodness :)

this is why he tells us when we go and preach this good news , we are to say .. the kingdom of heaven has come near you today ".. because in us ,by the Holy Spirit , the full influential authority of the God , which he first gave to adam is again In us .. this is why we can once again use that authority .. we can tell sickness to leave a persons body and it has to go we can tell demons to get out and they have to go .. and then that person who is set free may be born again of water and of spirit and now the kingdom of God is further increased . because the true realm is the hearts of all true beleivers .

Now what you are saying here makes a lot of sense. Lord Jesus did say that the Kingdom of Heaven is within us. So, the culture of the Kingdom is made manifest through us right? Yes I can see that. You know what? I think that is why folks get so angry when Christians use the name of Jesus. We are not fighting flesh and blood though according to Ephesians 6.

Exactly, every battle that we have here in the physical was already fought in the spiritual. If only we would concentrate on the spiritual rather than what is in front of us, how much better this life would be

I guess that is where Romans 12:1-2 comes in. Right now that has been my focus, the renewing of the mind with the word of God. I believe toe Word of God is a language. Don't shoot me, It is just what I believe. If we could learn how to speak the word boldly in every situation, I think we would be so much happier in Christ.

This leads me directly to this passage:

2 Corinthians 10:4-5
We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. 5 We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.

Yes everyone should bring their thoughts into captivity to the Word of God. But that means replacing worldly thoughts with His thoughts. That means wholly submitting to the authority of the Holy Spirit. That means acting on the Word as Lord Jesus did. And that friends is a tall order. It is soooo easy to say 'I can do that.'. But truly walking it out is a very tall order.

On one hand it is a mighty tall order to discipline ourselves to learn the word, and on the other hand, when we are walking in the Spirit of God, He gives us the weapons---the word---when we need it! It's amazing.

Psalm 81:10 comes to my mind, here.
I am the Lord your God,
Who brought you out of the land of Egypt;
Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.
