except in the case of sexual immorality or infidelity..(the translation is not too clearly defined ) ..if he/she divorces and married another the act of remarrying becomes an act of adultery -because if there is no valid reason for divorce then God considers them "still married " to the first partner .

but if the two got divorced and the one who was to be considered the "cause" (the offender causing the divorce to come about{though in truth there is seldom one offender ) went off and backside ..years later returned to the lord .. then remarried ..??

A person who has sinned against his wife in adultery and has remarried against God's will is a definite offender, but in every case where one has been the offender and has come to repentance and has asked for forgiveness of the first spouse, and has had a spiritual restoration in his life, and desires to serve God with His life along with his (believing) wife, then God is blessed in it. If he has remained single, and his offended wife cannot accept him back, and he has come through this definite hurdle of divorce and has become restored in his faith, and Spirit-filled and finds a woman who is also Spirit-filled, and they desire to be married, God is blessed by that. They are new in Christ, and He is blessed to see married couples serving Him with their lives, and bringing in a harvest of souls for Him...no matter what their past has been. He is the Redeemer and He is able to restore to any of us what we have lost or what we have destroyed and more.

Mar 10:7-12 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter. And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

I don't believe homosexuality is wrong. It is a natural occurance of human nature. I know plenty of religious people who have come to this conclusion, too. We all have some homosexuality in us believe it or not; some more and some less. That is a fact.

Rom 7:2-3 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

Ruth, God hates homosexuality. It is unnatural. It is sin to Him. Believe God, ratter than your own human thinking, here.

You do not have the facts.

Lev. 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

23 Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.

24 Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:

25 And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.

Romans 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

in the romans vs .. he is using law as an example of newness of life after having died in christ .. and having died, been set free from the law .. 9he is not addressing the topic of mariage and divorce in that text.though it gives clear insight into what the unquestioned understanding of it was at the time he wrote that .

The moment a Christian takes the holy scriptures and uses verses therefrom as a reason to persecute others, harm them, imprison them, or kill them such a Christian has acted wickedly no matter how pious his words may sound.

and the moment a christian accepts an ungodly lifestyle and keeps silent he is doing harm to the sinner and to God Himself. We love the sinner but not to the point of him going to hell because we condone the sin

Do you advocate arresting this sinner, imprisoning or killing him/her?

On the one hand, I think we ARE mandated to HELP our brothers and sisters in Christ, to "restore" them. With LOVE, with humility, in a spirit of helpfulness.

On the other hand, we are NOT to judge people, and we always need to remember that WE TOO are sinners, that when we point one finger at another we're pointing THREE back at ourselves.

Lord, have mercy.
Christ, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy.

On ALL of us.

So we condone sin with our silence and acceptance? God forbid. We are to point the way and that way dioes not allow sin that is known to be practiced and claim it is ok. Sorry but we are to judge according to Gods word and what we know to be true.

Bill, respectfully, may I recommend you re-read what you quoted? I never even so much as mentioned "condone" or "silence" Not once.

IMO, the Bible consistently condemns "judging."

Yet it tells us how to deal with brothers who sin consistantly does it not? Does this not require judging? I also do not judge if I tell someone they are sinning and risk hell if they continue, it is not judging when the lifestyle is right there in fron t of you.

IMO, the Bible typically condemns "judging."

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.
Luke 6:37 ESV

“Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven;
John 7:24 ESV

"There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?"
Romans 2:1-3 ESV

And then consider, "He who is without sin, cast the first stone." And of course, the proclaimation of Scripture that ALL have sinned..... that ALL have fallen short..... that NO ONE is righteous, no not even one. IMO, that includes me. Likely you, lol.

Now, does that mean approve of sin? I never REMOTELY even suggested such a crazy thing. Read the first part of my post.
